Today we recorded the voiceover and began to edit it into the documentary in the appropriate places. We recorded the voiceover twice as the first time it wasn't always clear what was being said and also to make it sound more interesting. We also got the man who has done our voiceover to repeat some of the sentences as he said them as we knew that the first time would not work in the documentary. This was when the orders of the words got mixed up or they stuttered. It was recorded using a camera and a clip microphone in a quiet classroom in college. We have recorded more than what we will probably use so that we can choose which are the best bits to put into the documentary.
After listening to the recording of our voiceover, we decided to record it another time, using a different person so that it would sound clearer and be a more interesting as we asked the man to put some excitement into his voice and sound like he wasn't just reading it but being interested in the subject. This way, if the voiceover sounds lively and exciting, the documentary wont seem boring and it will keep the audience interested in the subject as well as getting the excitement that Free Running creates. Doing the same as the first recording of the voiceover, we got the man to repeat certain parts of it as he went wrong so we could choose the best parts and so that each time he said it, it would be slightly different until we got it right and how we wanted it.
